Jessica Camara

Jessica "The Cobra" Camara is one of Canada’s leading professional female boxers, competing in both the lightweight and super lightweight divisions. Born in Cambridge, Ontario, and based in Montreal, Quebec, Camara made her professional debut in 2017 and has established herself as one of the country’s premier female fighters.

Known for her technical precision, relentless work rate and disciplined orthodox style, Camara has built an international reputation by consistently facing elite opposition across North America, Europe and Asia. Her willingness to challenge the very best has earned her recognition as one of the most respected competitors in women’s boxing.

In April 2024, Camara reached a career-defining milestone by travelling to South Korea and defeating former multi-division world champion Choi Hyun-mi to capture the WBA Female Gold Lightweight Championship. She has also challenged for world titles under the WBC, WBO and IBO sanctioning bodies.

Managed by Jim Kambosos and JKSM Agents, Jessica continues to compete at the highest level of the sport while pursuing a full world championship.
